The fact that you are here means you are ready, just as I once was at the start of my own healing journey. You can feel reassured that, through my own relentless quest for answers, I truly know what works and what doesn’t. I am very grateful to be in a position to share this knowledge with you.
Each of the modalities I bring to you are highly effective in their own right. But when combined with a personalised and embodied approach, you can experience an empowering transformation from the inside out.
Specifically, my training as a Trauma Informed Somatic Therapist means that you can experience safe, powerful and long-lasting healing through the unity of the mind and body.

We uncover and treat the root cause of your suffering and dis-ease, heal it at the source, rather than just focussing on the symptom(s).
Why is this so important?
As human beings, we gravitate towards pleasure and avoid pain at all costs. Before we can even recall, we have unconsciously buried our emotional pain because it is too distressing to re-experience.
These untended weeds leave us stranded, stuck in self-destructive cycles we can’t seem to escape. But far from being out of sight, out of mind, unconscious wounds can wreak havoc in our daily lives.
We will do anything to distract ourselves from feeling discomfort.
We have been conditioned to look ‘without’ - externally - for relief and answers, yet a treasure trove of wisdom, healing and resourcefulness already lies within us, and has done ever since we were born.
We have also been falsely led to believe that the therapeutic window into the mind provides the answer to all problems, yet both body and mind must work in tandem to bring these embedded traumas to light. When we learn to safely access our inner world, our body, we also learn to become at home in our own skin - and this is when we truly take back control.

Authentic You Methods

CBT and hypnotherapy are both evidence-based and scientifically proven methods which, when combined, are like ‘therapy on steroids’, helping you to overcome unwanted behaviours, phobias and challenges so you can be your best self.

This approach assists you to resolve issues with which you may have struggled for some period of time. Embracing classical and analytical hypnosis, Solution Focused Hypno-Psychotherapy begins with counselling, uncovering what holds you back, what you really want, and how to achieve it. It is also a powerful technique for uncovering deeper issues through regression and to employ the mind and body for healing and pain management.

Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is powerful coaching which helps you to understand your own mind, and make rapid, genuinely effective and permanent change. Ericksonian Hypnosis, an important element of NLP, is an elegant and effective way of uncovering what you really want on the basis that the answers always lie within, no matter how deeply buried they may be.

As a specialist PTSD and Trauma Informed therapist, I utilise the BLAST Technique® (Bi-Lateral Analysis and Stimulation Treatment). This renowned practice treats PTSD efficiently and compassionately, with the aim to permanently heal embedded traumas.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as tapping, is a method that involves tapping on specific points of the body to help manage emotions and relieve stress and anxiety.

The Clearing Method is a pioneering, powerful and safe system that gently guides you in uncovering the root cause of your suffering to heal the pain of the past. This body-led, goal-oriented practice is a cutting-edge response to the latest research which defines trauma as not something that happens to us, but within us.

Gestalt Therapy is, by definition, person-centred: it focuses on the present environment and experiences that you are individually facing, and how this impacts your mental health. This practice goes hand in hand with IFS (Internal Family Systems), a model which divides the mind into subpersonalities - or ‘parts’. Together, this will help us to understand how different parts of your mind interact with the world around you.

Pranic Healing is a systematic energy treatment, balancing, cleansing and energising your body’s energy fields. It has been proven to greatly help in the healing of both physical and psychological conditions, amplifying the body’s capability to heal itself.

Authentic You Therapy is not a “one size fits all” - far from it.
You may come to me with a particular symptom or problem, but see our journey together as a peeling back of layers; there may be issues that flow to the forefront which you weren’t even consciously aware of. This is what informs our work going forward.
I typically work in a series of six sessions, but there is no set end date. In fact, the duration of our time together is entirely up to you, and I will offer gentle guidance to what I believe you need. I see clients both in person and on Zoom - again, this is tailored to what best suits you.
